Eligibility Criteria

Possess a foreign master’s degree (e.g., Master of Science or Master of Arts) recognized as equivalent to any of the Italian degrees, which qualifies for admission to a PhD program in the country where the degree was obtained.

Note: Current master’s degree students who expect to graduate by the enrollment date for our PhD programs are also eligible to apply. If your application is successful, the university will make a conditional offer. To secure your place, you must submit your graduation certificate or a self-declaration to the PhD Office by the enrollment date

Stipend Amount

The amount of the PhD scholarship is equal to € 16,243.00 per year. PhD scholarships are exempt from income tax under Art. 4 of Law no. 476/1984 and Art. 6 of Law No. 398/1989.

 

IELTS/TOEFL not required

Applicants who have completed their academic qualifications at an institution where the courses were taught in English are not required to certify their knowledge of English. In this case, candidates required to submit English Proficiency Certificate from your academic institute (optional).
