FMI Switzerland invites applications for PhD positions in Biomedical Research

The Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research (FMI) PhD program provides students with the chance to engage in advanced biomedical research within a vibrant, deeply collaborative, and globally diverse environment. Since 2016, FMI has extended its offerings to include an MD-PhD program, designed specifically for individuals with a background in medicine.

Eligibility Criteria

  • For the PhD program, applicants need a university degree equivalent to qualification for a PhD program in their home country (e.g., MSc, Diploma, DEA). Note: A Bachelor’s degree is not sufficient.
  • For the MD-PhD program: Applicants must have a medical background and a university degree equivalent to entry into clinical training in their home country (e.g., Medical Diploma, Approbation).

Stipend Amount
